• New Adriatic Blue Metallic exterior colour
• New Orange Fury Metallic Tri-Coat
• New Mustang FX Package for GT Premium
• New black seat belts with a red stripe
• New Prime Blue seat belts
• New International Orange seat belts
• A red seat belt option

• Updated digital-display availability on Premium models
• 10-speed automatic now standard on Dark Horse
• TREMEC six-speed manual now optional on Dark Horse

The California Special Package, 60th Anniversary Package, and Wheel and Stripe Package have all been dropped from the 2026 order guide, along with Wimbledon White and Intense Lime Yellow Metallic from the regular colour lineup.

2.3L EcoBoost Engine

Standard on Mustang EcoBoost and EcoBoost Premium, this four-cylinder pairs exclusively with a 10-speed automatic and a limited-slip rear axle. Selectable drive modes and steering settings let you tune how the car responds in different conditions.

Add the available Active Valve Performance Exhaust for quad chrome exhaust tips and Remote Rev functionality.

Offered in Fastback and convertible configurations, depending on the equipment group.

5.0L Ti-VCT V8

Standard on GT and GT Premium. A six-speed manual with rev matching comes standard, with a 10-speed SelectShift automatic available that adds paddle shifters, remote start, and Remote Rev.

Manual gets you a limited-slip rear axle; automatic lets you pick from available axle ratios depending on your performance package.

Offered in GT Fastback, and in GT Premium as either a Fastback or convertible.

Dark Horse 5.0L V8

Dark Horse runs a specially configured, naturally aspirated 5.0L V8 with performance-enhanced calibration, plus:

• Dual air-intake boxes
• Dual throttle bodies
• Unique intake manifold
• Engine oil cooler
• Transmission cooler
• Differential cooler
• Active Valve Performance Exhaust
• Performance-focused chassis calibration

For 2026, the 10-speed SelectShift automatic is standard on Dark Horse, with the TREMEC six-speed manual with rev matching available.

Ford's guide lists 2026 horsepower and torque as TBD, so exact output figures should wait until Canadian specs are released.

Six-Speed Manual and 10-Speed Automatic Transmissions

Transmission depends on the model:

• EcoBoost and EcoBoost Premium: 10-speed automatic
• GT and GT Premium: six-speed manual standard, 10-speed automatic with paddle shifters available
• Dark Horse: 10-speed automatic standard for 2026, TREMEC six-speed manual with rev matching and a titanium-anodized blue shift knob available

Automatic-transmission models can add features like Remote Start and Remote Rev, and some driver-assist functions differ between manual and automatic setups.

Mustang Fastback

Fixed roof, folding rear seat, available across the whole lineup: EcoBoost, EcoBoost Premium, GT, GT Premium, and Dark Horse.

Fastback qualifies for equipment the convertible doesn't get, including certain spoilers, racing stripes, painted roofs, and performance seating configurations.

Mustang Convertible

Power-operated, fully lined cloth top. Available on:

• EcoBoost with the 101A High Package
• EcoBoost Premium
• GT Premium

The regular GT and Dark Horse aren't offered as convertibles. Convertible configurations include a spoiler delete and can differ from equivalent Fastback models in package, stripe, and security-equipment availability.

Available on GT and GT Premium, built around braking, chassis control, and track performance:

• Staggered 19-inch wheels
• Summer performance tires
• Brembo brake system with performance linings
• TORSEN limited-slip differential
• Performance-specific axle ratio
• Heavy-duty front springs
• K-brace
• Strut-tower brace
• Larger rear sway bar
• Unique chassis tuning
• Performance-specific steering, braking, and stability-control tuning
• Front tow hooks
• Raised rear wing on eligible Fastback models
• Electronic drift brake

MagneRide Damping is available on GT Premium models equipped with this package.

The electronic drift brake is for controlled track use only, never public roads. And since summer tires come with the package, keep in mind Ford doesn't recommend them near or below 7°C or in snow and ice, worth planning around for winter conditions this far north.

New for 2026, available on GT Premium, with a retro-inspired look:

• Oxford White-painted wheels
• Oxford White front Pony badge
• Oxford White accents around the 5.0 and GT badges
• Unique white taillamps
• Black mirror caps
• Black-bezel headlamps
• High-gloss black grille
• Unique rear-window graphic on Fastback
• Wedge decklid spoiler on Fastback
• Accent-stitched centre console lid

Wheel size and brake equipment shift depending on whether it's combined with the GT Performance Package. Without it, you get 19-inch Oxford White wheels and larger four-piston brakes. With it, wider staggered Oxford White wheels, summer tires, Brembo brakes, and a performance rear wing on Fastback.

Can't be combined with Nite Pony, Bronze Appearance, racing stripes, or matte clear film.

Available on EcoBoost, EcoBoost Premium, GT, and GT Premium, giving you a blacked-out look:

• Ebony Black-painted wheels
• Black front and rear badges
• Black 5.0 and GT badging
• Black mirror caps
• Painted black roof
• Black-painted wedge decklid spoiler on Fastback

Combine with the GT Performance Package for wider staggered black wheels, with a black performance rear wing replacing the wedge spoiler. Compatibility varies by body style, wheels, stripes, and other appearance equipment.

Available on eligible EcoBoost, EcoBoost Premium, GT, and GT Premium models:

• Sinister Bronze-painted wheels
• Sinister Bronze Pony badging
• Bronze GT and 5.0 badging on V8 models
• Spoiler delete

GT and GT Premium models combining this with the GT Performance Package get wider staggered Sinister Bronze wheels with summer tires. Not combinable with Nite Pony or FX.

Available on EcoBoost, EcoBoost Premium, GT, and GT Premium, standard on Dark Horse. Adjust exhaust character right from the vehicle settings. EcoBoost gets quad chrome exhaust tips with this system selected; GT gets quad chrome outlets too. Dark Horse uses black exhaust tips as part of its standard look.

Enables Remote Rev on compatible automatic models.
